How long should I wait to bring my pet in if I notice a change in behavior?

What should I do if I notice parasites on my pet?
Contact Senoia Animal Hospital and Pet Resort as soon as possible if you notice or suspect a parasitic infection. A parasitic infection can be serious and sometimes deadly. Your Senoia Animal Hospital and Pet Resort veterinarian may want to exam your pet and perform tests to determine what kind of infection your pet may have, what treatments may be needed, and whether or not you may need to treat other pets. You might also be directed to collect a stool or urine sample.

At what age should I have my pet spayed or neutered?
Most cats and dogs can be neutered as early as eight weeks, depending on the breed. The procedure should be done before they reach six months. Your Senoia Animal Hospital and Pet Resort veterinarian will be able to determine when would be the right time for your particular pet for their age, size, and breed.
What are heartworms, and how can I prevent my pet from getting them?
Heartworms are a dangerous parasite that can be potentially fatal, especially to canines. Heartworms can permanently damage the heart and other organs. Your Senoia Animal Hospital and Pet Resort veterinarian can discuss with you the many preventative treatment options that are available.
